Our district veterinary nurse services allow us to provide nursing care and support for you and your pet in the home.
Our nurse can work alongside our palliative and end of life vets, or with your current family practice.
All of the procedures and nursing care provided will be under the instruction of a veterinary surgeon, and any medications or treatments given are according to prescription and under veterinary guidance.
Our nursing services specialise in palliative and hospice care.
We are able to offer a variety of nursing services, including but not limited to:
- Palliative care
- Hospice care
Specific illness clinics including
- Feline renal disease
- Canine and feline arthritis
- Initial Diabetes support
- Prescribed nursing care following on from medical or surgical hospitalisation
- End of life discussions and building an end of life plan with your family
- Quality of life assessment
We can also offer a nurse online visit to discuss quality of life and also as a way to keep in touch between palliative and hospice visits.
Our district nursing service always has access to our 24 hour emergency end of life care veterinary team, so you can be safe in the knowledge that if a crisis was to happen there is a veterinary surgeon who can come to your home during your pets last moments.
